Michael Franklin

MICHAEL FRANKLIN – EXECUTIVE PRODUCER – WRITER/DIRECTOR/ AWARD-WINNING ACTOR

Michael Franklin was born in Tehran, went to boarding school in England, studied in Scotland and has lived in Los Angeles. He is a Mathematician, a Linguist, an Acting Coach, a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and a competitive Pole-Vaulter.

Professionally Michael has written for the stage and screen, performed as an actor in three different continents (both on stage and screen) , has directed and been directed by great talents worldwide. He has worked as an Acting coach for Sky Television, London Drama schools and has given workshops in Acting and Directing in the UK in a career spanning over 20 years. In addition Michael has used his Mathematical skills in various global organizations including the BBC.

Michael prides himself in finding great team members from different walks of life. For without a good support network, an enterprise as expansive as a film production could never see the light of day.

Apart from watching Athletics when it happens to be in Season, Michael’s passion is to walk around the house coming up with new word associations which he does with annoying regularity, mixing up words in different languages to come up with the absurd.

Michael is a member of the Screen Actors’ Guild.

 

PETER LEVERICK – DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Peter is an accomplished Director of Photography, with 3 full-length feature films in his portfolio along with many short films. Peter worked for the BBC for 39 years working on all major genres including Drama and Light Entertainment.

He has 7 Shakespeare plays, 3 Operas, and many Drama Series to his name, including the highly acclaimed ‘I Claudius’ series, and the Sky 1 Soap Opera ‘Dream team’. Peter is currently an active freelance DOP, and tutors Film Skills at a number of Colleges and Universities. He is a natural team leader, dedicated to quality and evolving efficient methods of working, as an individual, but primarily with small & large crews. He is very excited to have the opportunity to apply his skills to the ‘On–Line’ TV Broadcast platform.

Peter’s knowledge ranges far beyond Lighting and Camerawork, His technical knowledge is very broad, and his skill base embraces Sound, Editing, and Production.

Peter sits on the committee of Sutton Arts Council, and is Chairman of Sutton Film Makers.

 

MARK HUGHES – ONLINE MARKETING EXPERT

South African born Mark Hughes is a highly regarded Social Media Expert with over 9 years online marketing experience. Specialising in Social Media over the past 4 years, he now consults with start-ups to large (£10M turnover) businesses using his specialist skills to create and implement strategic, profitable social media marketing campaigns.

He is an avid film fan and joins Completing the Square Pictures on an exciting new Web Series. He instills his passion for film along with his expert skills to create, implement, and integrate a strategy that will maximise the online reach and overall success of the upcoming web series via social media.

Married for 21 years, Mark loves to spend time with his wife and 2 children enjoying holidays in sunny locations. When time affords he can be found either watching a good film, playing the odd round of golf or watching a tightly contested game of Rugby Union.

It is believed that affected people react adversely to the decreasing amounts of sunlight and the colder temperatures.
In severe instances, it can be associated with thoughts of suicide.

Synopsis

Mary and Shelly used to be neighbours until Shelly and her husband moved away. One day they bump into each other
in the street and promise to arrange to catch up over some tea. That day comes sooner than expected as Mary has
something she just has to get off her chest. But when it comes down to it, she wonders if she’s doing the right thing.
After all, they were never best friends and Mary wouldn’t classify Shelly as being an old-fashioned romantic, like
herself. Shelly thinks it’s a great idea that Mary’s coming over. That way she can put aside her own troubles and
concentrate on Mary for a little while…but can she?
